S03E004, Firestarter! Family Prayer Time

Peter and JoJo continue to encourage us to pray as a family by using prayers found in the Bible. In this episode, Peter and Jo have found another powerful prayer, this time from the famous prophet Elijah which can be found in 1 Kings 18:36-37 – it’s a real Firestarter!

Peter reads out this prayer: ““Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”

Peter and Jo encourage us to use Elijah’s direct and succinct prayer by praying it out loud in full or using it as a sort of template or both! This prayer encourages us to speak confidently about who God is and to speak to God clearly and specifically about what we need.
